Satisfied Eye International Film Festival 26-28 October 2018

Epsom Square is hosting several events for Epsom’s first international film festival:

GRAND OPENING: THE FESTIVAL AWAKENS STAR WARS THEMED FREE FAMILY EVENT
Friday 26 October in Epsom Square Plaza
3 – 8pm: DJ, music, dance and prizes
5.30pm: Death-defying roof-top Star Wars battle by stunt performers from Rogue One and Official Opening Ceremony.

* Dress up for maximum fun: Jedi or Sith – all species welcome

VIP/FILM INDUSTRY DRINKS RECEPTION
Invited guests only. Ticket required for entry

FILM DISTRIBUTION FOR INDIES: THE GREAT BRITISH REVOLUTION
Friday 26 October, 3.15pm
Journalist, photographer, writer and director Howard Webster, whose British musical comedy film Great In Britain: The Movie is currently finishing post-production to prepare it for its UK premiere tour, introduces a revolutionary new distribution model.
Great news for all independent filmmakers, wherever they are and whatever their budget.

FILM FESTIVALS: WHAT’S THE DEAL?
Sunday 28 October, 11.00am
Katie McCullough founded Festival Formula after realising that there was a large gap in filmmakers’ knowledge of the festival circuit.
With 14 years+ experience she’ll run down why festivals are more relevant than they have ever been, and how best to prepare for them.

DON’T WASTE MY TIME
Sunday 28 October, 12.30pm
Pitch your script, film or TV idea to an experienced industry panel, including award-winning directors, producers and writers.
All entries get feedback. Prize for the best pitch.
Ticket includes three pitches. Open to all.

CASTING ESSENTIALS
Sunday 28 October, 1.15pm
Casting workshop with a respected casting director going through the pitfalls, dos, don’ts and essentials of traversing the acting profession.
Having worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, this is a chance to learn from someone with their finger on the pulse.
