Last year The Big Draw Epsom attracted over 800 participants, and Epsom Square and Epsom Library were ALIVE with activity!

This year, THE BIG DRAW comes to Epsom for the second time with the theme of ‘PLAY’.
You will meet and draw with lots of local artists, art educators and designers, including picture book author-illustrators Jo Rooks (A Box of Butterflies and Hector’s Favourite Place)
and Rebecca Gerlings (Enormouse!, Ho-Ho-Hopeless Santa and Diva Delores and the Opera House Mouse).

Activities:

• Drawing live musicians in action, and the sounds their instruments make
• Local artists Ruth Shepherd, Asta Kalpokaite Golias, Rosie Walker, Brian Ingram and others will be creating a Frank Stella-inspired installation in Epsom Square with the public’s help
• Chalk drawing on the pavement
• Jo Rooks: book reading and drawing workshop (Library)
• Rebecca Gerlings: book reading and puppet making (Library)
• Drawing activities in children’s section of Library, provided by Epsom Library
